Journey to Dublin

These are pictures of our drive to Dublin. We went by car to Charleroi (Belgium) - the only continental Ryanair-served airport offering direct connections to Dublin.

On the road again ...

Raststätte
not even done the half way through Germany, we stopped for Drinks and other needs.

Hunsrück1
On our way to Luxembourg, we drove through the German mountain area called "Hunsrück". Beautiful area though.

middle of nowhere
Huge, vast forest areas ... and right in the middle of nowhere - a road construction site, stiff traffic lights and so on ... We'll miss you, Germany!

Mosel-Valley near Trier
This is the autobahn viaduct heading for the German-Luxembourg border.

Luxembourg truck-stop
next stop in Luxembourg - quite next to the Belgian border. Wierd place, strange food and an understanding of 'clean' which quite didn't meet our typical German expectations

River Meuse near Charleroi
This is River Meuse (Maas in German). It was scenic and we were tired of driving on this sunny, even hot Saturday afternoon - so we stopped for a moment and enjoyed the landscape.

Dajana posing at Meuse
Well, Dajana was certainly happy to pause from driving (c:

Bridge over (not so) troubled waters
this is the opposite of the last picture. Nice houses - mades us feel like being on holiday.

Dajana 2
Although there are quite a few pictures of me, ... she just fit better into the scenery.
