Journey back to Hof via Champagne

This is our trip back to Hof. It took us from Charleroi in Belgium via the N5 and Phillipeville, the french fortified town of Rocroi, through the Departement 'Ardenne', the town of Rethel and it famous sausuages, passing Reims, unfortunately without finding the time to visit its famous cathedral right to Epernay, major place in the Champagne-Region. From there we went straight to Hof on countless kilometres of motorway-drive.

Charleroi Airport long-term Parking
this is right after our arrival on Sunday morning, touching continental soil again - until next time, Eire! It was good craig!

well - this is obviously me. not much to add here

Dajana at CRL Airport parking
This is my little sister Dajana. The Ryanair flight scared her a bit - a stressful week of sight-, landscape- and pub-seeing might have stressed her additionally.

Auberge de Jeunesse Verzy - interior
Well, this was where we finally ended after a desperate search for a place to sleep as we didn't feel like taking the drive in on go until late after midnight, as we were on our feet already since 5 a.m. GMT

Youth hostel 2
well, it was a strange place, even for youth-hostel standards. No further comment on that - as it was cheap and served us as a place to rest anyway.

Champagne-Cave "Merzier" in Epernay
This is Merzier in Epernay, where a good friend of mine is working. It is a noble place, not quite suiting the two student tourist of us. I'd like to go back there one day accordingly dressed and less tired (c:

Merzier 2 ...
I really shall take more and better pictures next time. Promised!
