It all began in the year 1984: Gunther Zeilinger, a teacher at the
musicschool of the Hofer Symphoniker foundet an orchestra with his
pupils. They were and are very successful, and today they are
important for the cultural life of Hof and its surroundings.
For its activities the orchestra got the youthaward of Hof. On many
journeys ( to France, Spain, Finnland, USA, Japan, Southafrica,
Australia, Newzealand) they left remaining memorys.
Today the age of the players is between 12 and 32 years, most of them
are teached by Gunther Zeilinger or Bernd Rodenberger. Their
programm goes from originalcompositions to rock-, pop-, or german
folkmusic. The accordionplayers also are taking part in competitions,
and are very successful there, too (lots of bavarian, or even german
titles were reached in the last years).
